Plain English. Charlotte Roofing Quote makes its money by sending the details you submit to one independent roofing contractor, currently Eastern Oak Roofing LLC, which pays Charlotte Roofing Quote an advertising fee. Under California law and several other state privacy laws, that is a sale of personal information. This page is where you tell us to stop, or to delete what we already hold.
What "sale" means on this site
It does not mean your information is auctioned to a list of buyers. There is one recipient, it is named to you on the form before you submit anything, and it is named again here. But we receive money for the transfer, so we call it a sale, because that is what the law calls it and because pretending otherwise would be the kind of hair splitting this site exists to avoid.
Reading the cost guides sells nothing. Nothing leaves this site unless you submit the estimate form.
What you can ask for
- Do not sell or share. Stop transmitting my information to any contractor.
- Know. Tell me what you hold about me, where it came from, and who received it.
- Delete. Delete what you hold about me.
- Correct. Fix something that is wrong.
- Do not contact. Stop all calls, texts, and email.
These rights are available to you whichever state you live in. We do not check your address first.
One honest consequence. If you opt out of sale and sharing, we cannot pass your request to a roofing contractor, because passing it along is the sale. You can still read every cost guide and use the estimate tool. There is no other penalty, no charge, and no reduced service.
Submit your request
This form is only for privacy requests. It does not request a roof estimate and it does not sign you up for anything.
If the form does not work, email us
You never have to use the form. Email hello@charlotteroofingquote.com with the subject line Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information, and include your name, the email address or phone number you used, and what you want done. A request sent by email carries exactly the same weight as one sent through the form.

Global Privacy Control
If your browser or a browser extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a valid opt out of sale and sharing for that browser, automatically, with no form to fill in. You are welcome to do both.
Authorized agents
Someone may submit a request for you if you gave them written permission. We may ask the agent for proof of that permission and may ask you to confirm it directly. We do this to keep a stranger from deleting your records or unlocking your information.
What happens after you submit
- We acknowledge the request within ten business days.
- For an opt out of sale or sharing, we act immediately. No further transmission to any contractor.
- For a know, delete, or correct request, we verify that the request really came from you, usually by matching the details you gave against the record we hold, then respond within forty five days. If we need longer, we will tell you why and take up to another forty five days.
- We will not charge you and we will not treat you differently for asking.
- If we have to refuse part of a request, for example because we must keep a consent record or a suppression record to prove you asked not to be contacted, we will say exactly what we kept and why, and tell you how to appeal.
One thing we cannot do for you
If your information was already transmitted to Eastern Oak Roofing LLC before you opted out, that company holds its own copy as an independent business, under its own privacy policy. We will stop sending anything further and we will tell that company about your request, but you should also contact it directly to have its copy deleted and to be added to its internal do not call list.
