SMS Terms and Conditions

These terms cover the text message program run through charlotteroofingquote.com. They sit alongside the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.
1. What the program is
The program is called Charlotte Roofing Quote Roof Quote Messages. It is operated by Charlotte Roofing Quote, a d/b/a of BlackBelt AI Systems LLC on behalf of Eastern Oak Roofing LLC, the independent roofing contractor that receives your request.
Messages relate to the roof estimate you asked for. That means confirming your request, arranging a time for the contractor to look at the roof, answering a question you asked, and following up if you do not respond. It is a customer care and appointment program tied to a request you made. It is not a broadcast list, and you will not receive messages about anything unrelated to your roof.
2. How you opt in
You opt in one way only: by entering your own mobile number on the estimate form and ticking the optional consent box, which reads:
Optional. I give my express written consent for Eastern Oak Roofing LLC to contact me at the phone number I provided using an automatic telephone dialing system, an artificial or prerecorded voice, and text messages, even if that number is on a state or national Do Not Call list. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See SMS Terms.
That box is never ticked for you, and the form submits successfully without it. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of getting an estimate, of any purchase, or of hiring anyone. You must be at least 18 years old and the regular user of the number you enter.
3. Message frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on how the conversation goes. Most people receive between one and five messages about a single request. Expect no more than ten messages per month.
4. Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Charlotte Roofing Quote does not charge you for text messages, but your mobile carrier may charge you for each message sent or received, depending on your plan. Ask your carrier if you are unsure.
5. How to stop messages
Reply STOP to any message from the program. You may also reply END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT. You will get one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and after that no further messages will be sent to that number from this program.
Opting out of texts does not delete your information and does not stop email or telephone calls on its own. To stop everything, email hello@charlotteroofingquote.com and say so, or use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page. Opt out requests are honored within ten business days at the latest, and normally immediately. Because Eastern Oak Roofing LLC keeps its own contact lists, you may also want to tell that company directly.
If you opt out and later want messages again, you can opt back in by submitting the form again with the optional consent box ticked.

7. Carriers and delivery
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier's network and on your device, and neither Charlotte Roofing Quote nor Eastern Oak Roofing LLC can guarantee that any message arrives, arrives intact, or arrives on time. The program is supported on major United States carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, US Cellular, and others, and carrier participation can change without notice. Text messaging is not a secure channel, so please do not send sensitive personal information by text.
8. When messages are sent
Messages and calls are sent only between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. local time at your location, as federal and state telemarketing rules require.
9. Privacy
Mobile information and SMS consent will not be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. The only company that receives your mobile number is the roofing contractor named on the form at the moment you submitted it, which is the company you asked to hear from. Your consent record travels with your request only as proof that you gave permission, and it is never sold or used to market anything for any other company. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
10. If your number changes
If you give up the number you gave us, please tell us at hello@charlotteroofingquote.com so we can stop messaging it. Numbers get reassigned to new people, and this protects the next person as much as it protects you.
11. Changes
These SMS terms may be updated. The effective date at the top will change when they are.
