How This Works

You landed on a website you have never heard of that is asking for your home address. It is fair to want to know exactly what this is before you touch anything. Here it is, in plain terms and in order.

The four things you should know before you read anything else

  1. This is an advertising service. Charlotte Roofing Quote is the registered trade name of BlackBelt AI Systems LLC. We publish roofing cost research for the Charlotte metro, and we run advertising for a roofing contractor. We are not a roofing contractor ourselves, and we do not perform, supervise, bid, price, or warrant any roofing work.
  2. You are matched with one independent contractor. If you ask for a real quote, your request goes to Eastern Oak Roofing LLC in Matthews, NC. That company is independent of us. Any contract for work is between you and them.
  3. We are paid by the contractor. They pay us an advertising fee for the introduction. That is the entire business model, and we published the long version of it.
  4. Using this site costs you nothing. There is no fee, no membership, no deposit, and we will never ask you for a card. You pay us nothing at any stage.

Sitewide disclosure: Charlotte Roofing Quote is an advertising and referral service. We are not a roofing contractor. We do not perform, supervise, bid, or contract for any roofing work, and we do not employ roofing crews. All roofing work is performed by an independent contractor who is solely responsible for their own licensing, insurance, workmanship, and warranties.

The actual sequence, step by step

Step 1. You answer four questions

Address, rough home size, what is on the roof now, roughly how old it is, and what is going on. It takes about 90 seconds. Nothing has left your browser at this point. The address is used to pick the right local cost factor for your town, because a roof in Huntersville does not price like a roof in Rock Hill.

Step 2. The estimate appears on screen

You see a cost range built from published Charlotte market data, adjusted for the home size you picked. The methodology is linked directly under the number. Still nothing has been sent. If this was all you wanted, you can close the tab here and we never learn who you are.

Step 3. Only if you want a real quote, you fill in three fields

Name, email, and phone. The phone field is optional and it stays optional. There is one required checkbox confirming you understand your information goes to Eastern Oak Roofing LLC, and a second, separate, optional checkbox for automated calls and texts. Consent to automated contact is never a condition of anything. Leave it unticked and the form still submits.

Step 4. Your request goes to one company

Eastern Oak Roofing LLC, and nobody else. Your information is not resold, not syndicated to a lead marketplace, and not passed to solar, gutters, windows, or anyone in an adjacent trade. That is the whole distribution list.

Step 5. You get a confirmation, then a human

The page confirms on screen that the request landed, and a confirmation email follows. Then the contractor reaches out directly. Realistic timing, and we would rather under-promise it: during weekday business hours it is usually the same day and often within a couple of hours. If you submit at 11pm on a Saturday, expect Monday morning. If a full business day goes by with no contact, email hello@charlotteroofingquote.com and we will find out why, because that is the one number we actually track about them.

Step 6. They look at the roof and write their own number

They schedule a time, get on or near the roof, measure, check the decking and the flashing details, and produce their own written estimate. Their number is the real one. Ours is a market range produced by a spreadsheet that has never seen your house. Expect the two to differ, sometimes by a lot, and expect the contractor to be able to explain why.

Step 7. What we do not do after that

We do not schedule the work, dispatch anyone, price the job, negotiate on your behalf, inspect the finished roof, or hold any warranty. If a dispute comes up, it is between you and the contractor. We do want to hear about it, because a vendor who behaves badly stops being a vendor.

If you do not want to be contacted

This is the part most sites bury, so it goes here instead.

  • You can use the estimator and leave. The cost range is not gated. Skip the contact fields, close the tab, and nothing is stored about who you are.
  • Leave the phone field blank. It is optional. Do that and the contractor reaches you by email only.
  • Do not tick the optional consent box if you do not want automated calls or texts. It is separate from the required box on purpose, and nothing about your request depends on it.
  • Already submitted and changed your mind? Email hello@charlotteroofingquote.com with the address you entered and the words "do not contact". We remove it on our side and tell the contractor to stop. You can also reply STOP to any text message.
  • Tell the contractor directly. Saying "please take me off your list" to them works too, and it works immediately. If they keep calling anyway, tell us. That is grounds for us to stop sending them anything at all.
  • You can also ask us not to share your information through the Do Not Sell or Share My Info page, or read what we keep and for how long in the Privacy Policy.

Things this site cannot do for you

Worth saying before you spend time here. We cannot send a crew, we cannot price your job, and we cannot get involved in an insurance claim. The contact page explains where those questions should actually go.

On insurance: We are not a public adjuster, an insurance agent, or a law firm, and we do not represent homeowners on insurance claims. Nothing on this page is insurance advice. Your policy and your insurer decide what is covered.
